American Realty Advisors, a leading provider of commercial  real estate investment management services for institutional investors, and McShane Development Company, a national real estate development firm, have formed a joint venture for the acquisition and development of a premier industrial site located in Newark, California, the heart of the Bay Area’s supply-constrained East Bay industrial submarket. 

Prologis, Inc. (NYSE: PLD), the leading global owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, signed three new lease agreements over the past six weeks totaling 830,439 square feet (77,200 square meters) at Prologis CCP Cajamar I in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Maple Leaf Foods announced it has chosen Puslinch Township, in the County of Wellington, as the location for a new distribution centre that will operate as the Company's prepared meats distribution hub for central and eastern Canada. DB Schenker has been selected as the third-party logistics provider with responsibility for its operations.

The 282,000 square foot distribution centre will combine ambient, refrigerated and frozen products into one facility. The centre will be built and owned by a third-party investor and leased by Maple Leaf Foods.

Caterpillar Logistics Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. has announced further enhancements to its parts distribution network with the addition of a new parts distribution center in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The 500,000-square-foot facility will employ up to 150 people and is expected to be operational mid-2013. The capital city, San Luis Potosi, serves as an ideal location for a strategic logistics operation. Access to major airports and a rail hub is complemented by a major highway crossroads providing easy access to transportation routes between major cities in Mexico.
