McLaren Construction has been appointed as main contractor on a £41 million distribution facility for ASDA, in the Kingsway Business Park, Rochdale. The low carbon development is due to commence this month and will comprise of 530,000 sq ft. chilled and freezer distribution, a plant deck with associated enabling and external works, offices, new car park and hard and soft landscaping, a vehicle wash and fuelling facility and a 131,000 sq ft. onsite Service Centre.

Prologis, Inc. (NYSE: PLD), the leading global owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, announced that it has leased Prologis Park Pineham DC139, a 139,000-square-foot (12,900-square-meter) facility in the United Kingdom, to Dalepak Limited, a third-party logistics provider. With this transaction the entire distribution park, located between Birmingham and London in Northampton, is now 100 percent leased.

Goodman Group has announced it will develop a new 11,400 sqm logistics centre in Winsen, to the south of Hamburg, for STARCO GmbH a specialist supplier of tyres and rims. The facility will be located in the Luhdorf industrial area.

Northern Logistic Property (NLP) has signed an 11-year lease contract with m4 gruppen for its 10,100-m² new build in Västerås. The annual rent will be SEK 7.3 million (approx. €790,000).
Occupancy will take place in December 2011, the same month as the original tenant Sateba, now bankrupt, planned to move in.

Goodman Group (Goodman or Group) today announced it will develop a 64,462 sqm turnkey facility for Stanley Black & Decker at Tessenderlo, in Limburg Province, Belgium. This is the largest industrial facility to be developed in Belgium over the past three years.
